About Me

I first started showing dogs in 1978 when I obtained my first English Setter. I have bred only a few English Setters (under my Kennel Name of Windsor Park) but with some success, having owned a Best in Show winning dog and an “In Show” winning home bred bitch in New Zealand and also exporting several dogs to Australia. I have not had setters for some years but have more recently been exhibiting Griffon Bruxellois

 I became involved in club management in 1978 when I was elected to the committees of both the English Setter Club and the Southern Gundog Society. I spent 10 years as the Secretary/Treasurer of the English Setter Club and was Vice President and then President of the Southern Gundog Society. I am now an honorary life member of this Society. I am currently on the committee and am the immediate past President of the NZ Griffon Bruxellois Club

I first became involved in judging dogs in 1983 when I judged my first Ribbon Parade. I gained my Gundog Group licence in 1987 and am now an All Breeds judge at Championship level. I was on the committee of the Canterbury Branch of the Judges Association for several years. 

I enjoy being a part of the “dog world” and having contact with the people and their dogs. I really look forward to each and every judging appointment and to me there is nothing better than having the privilege of judging beautiful dogs and meeting great people along the way (except maybe riding my Triumph Street Triple motorcycle!)

I have judged All Breeds throughout NZ, in Australia (Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, Tasmania, South Australia and West Australia), Canada and South Africa.
